Black Plaque Project

British History tends to be viewed through the lens of colonialism, and the achievements of these communities have largely gone unnoticed for a large period of time. Up until the establishment of Nubian Jak community Trust, only 1.6% of blue plaques in London reflected the achievements of the Black community. The Black Plaque Project in conjunction with Havas and J.C Decaux aims to temporarily champion these heroes, in the hope that we can gain support from our wider community to champion them permanently.
